Harmful Radiation

Radiation is a disturbance of the ether (energy matrix of the universe) traveling at the velocity of light. The ranges of radiations are determined by their frequency and the number of oscillations per second. These elements are controlled by the wavelength, the distance covered by the wave per second of travel.

EMF radiation from man-made and solar sources is accelerating at an unprecedented rate. New electrical devices, computers, business machines, satellites and cellular phones are filling our environment with incredible amounts of non-ionizing radiation. Some scientists believe this continuous, incoherent low-level radiation is the final "straw" that breaks the "camel's back" of our delicate immune systems, already weakened by chemicals, drugs, and poisons in the air, water and food.

Most people have learned too late the damaging effects of solar radiation. Those now battling melanoma, skin cancers and pre-cancerous cells are now realizing their beautiful tans in the past created consequences they never imagined.

Scientists are continuing to discover just how damaging the sun's rays can be to our cells. It breaks down DNA and RNA molecules, creating abnormal cells and aberrant cellular activity. This weakens our immune systems.

Dr. Gerber, M.D., in his book "Vibrational Medicine" clearly shows that human life processes are the result of a series of interacting multi-dimensional subtle-energy systems. If these systems become imbalanced, there may be resulting pathological symptoms that manifest on the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual planes.

When the energy systems of human beings are weakened or are out of balance, the body's energy fields oscillate at a different or less harmonic frequency. The energy fields must be balanced and the source of interference counteracted or eliminated for the body to return to a high level of health and vitality.

Researcher Georges Lakhovsky, in the book, " The Secret of Life," presented the idea that solar and cosmic radiation contributed to the formation of abnormal cells in geographical areas where the soil possessed electrically conductive properties. Water filled clay soils are premier conductors of EMF radiation and therefore create barriers against all solar and cosmic radiation being absorbed harmlessly into the earth. This causes the radiation to reflect off the soil to create secondary interference fields that disrupt the oscillatory equilibrium of the cells.

Lakhovsky believed all types of radiation effected living systems, especially cosmic and solar radiation. This radiation maintains the natural oscillation of healthy cells by neutralizing antagonistic radiations through resonance and interference if there is no secondary radiation caused by water-filled clay or iron ore laden soils.

Any thing that created variations in the field of cosmic and solar radiation would cause a state of disequilibrium in living cells. Once this happens, they can no longer oscillate according to their natural frequency. The ultimate result would be a breakdown in health and a manifestation of disease.

Lakhovsky looked upon sunspots as an important source of cosmic radiation and sun energy reaching the earth. He noticed increased sunspot activity correlated with abundant rainfall and crop growth in the tropics and increases in diseases and epidemics. He believed that all diseases, especially cancer, were the result of oscillatory disequilibrium in cells.

In his research, he discovered that the geological nature of the soil modifies the field of cosmic radiation at the earth's surface. Soils permeable to the cosmic and solar rays such as sand, sandstone, gravel, limestone, etc. absorbed external radiations to great depth. They did not create the secondary radiations produced by soils impermeable to the rays. Areas where clays, soils with excessive water content and mineral ores were abundant had the greatest incidence of cancer.

Power lines, transformers, appliances, radars, televisions, microwaves, copiers, computers, automobile engines, cellular phones and all other devices which use man-made energy to operate produce electromagnetic fields that are suspected of being dangerous to your mental and physical health.

Your office and home are filled with electrical wiring, devices, and machines which create EMF radiation. These unnatural energy fields, especially those produced by alternating currents operating at 60 cycles per second, are suspected of causing depression, suicides, cancer, leukemia, psychosis, cataracts, and other physical and mental problems in unsuspecting individuals.

In the article, "The Menace of Electric Smog, author Lowell Ponte said, "At issue is electromagnetic pollution, electric smog, the unseen energy waves that spread outward like ripples in a pond around every electrical device we use. And we use many. The United States is wired with 500,000 miles of high-voltage power lines. Industry, government, and the military depend on 250,000 microwave relay links. Airliners see and are seen via radar. 9,000,000 broadcasting transmitters and microwave relay stations, and 30,000,000 CB radios flood our airways. Industry employs 35,000,000 electromagnetic devices. As a result, a typical American now gets a daily dosage of electromagnetic radiation up to 200 million times more intense than what his ancestors took in from the sun, stars, and other natural sources."

Dr. Becker, one of the most respected research scientists in the world stated, "We now live in a sea of electromagnetic radiation that we cannot sense and that never before existed on this earth. New evidence suggests that this massive radiation may be producing stress, disease and other harmful effects all over the world by interfering with the most basic levels of brain function. " In his book, "The Body Electric," he says, "Three dangers overshadow all others. The first has been conclusively proven: ELF (extremely low frequency) electromagnetic field vibrations at about 30 to 100 Hz, even if they're weaker than the earth's field, interfere with the cues that keep our biological cycles properly timed; chronic stress and impaired disease resistance result.

Secondly, the available evidence strongly suggests that regulation of cellular growth processes is impaired by electropollution. The danger is immediate and overwhelming. In the long run, however, I believe the ultimate weapon is manipulation of our electromagnetic environment, because it's imperceptibly subtle and strikes at the core of life itself.

We're dealing here with the most important scientific discovery ever---the nature of life. Even if we survive the chemical and atomic threats to our existence, there's a strong possibility that increasing electropollution could set in motion irreversible changes leading to our extinction before we're even aware of them.

All life pulsates in time to the earth, and our artificial fields cause abnormal reactions in all organisms. Magnetic reversals may have produced the "great dying" of the past by disrupting the biocycles so as to cause stress, sterility, birth defects, malignancies, and impaired brain function.

Human activities may well have duplicated in three decades what otherwise would have taken five thousand years to develop during the next reversal... Somehow these dangers must be brought into the open so forcefully that the entire population of the world is made aware of them.

Since our civilization is irreversibly dependent on electronics, abolition of electromagnetic radiation is out of the question. However, as a first step in averting disaster, we must halt the introduction of new sources of electromagnetic energy while we investigate the biohazards of those we already have with completeness and honesty that have so far been in short supply." (page 328)

Recent studies of mice exposed for 30 days to 60 cycle electromagnetic fields whose strength was similar to those found near high-voltage transmission lines revealed changes in hormone patterns, body weight, and blood chemistries, producing all the signs of chronic stress, but also a steady increase in degenerative disease--particularly those related to a decreased competency of the immune system, such as cancer.

Manfred Kohnlechner, a German medical doctor, in his book "Man Does not Die in August" described the effects of the installation of a modern communications system on the health of the inhabitants of a rural area in Bavaria. Up to the time of the installation, the health of the residents was incredible, comparing favorably to the health and longevity of the Hunza people. Within six months of the introduction of the electrical lines and microwave towers essential for telephone, TV and radio communication, these previously healthy people began to die of cancer, heart attacks, and to have cavities in their teeth, conditions unheard of in the past.

Over the last ten years, there has been scattered media coverage about the danger of EMF pollution. Many researchers and scientists in this field were persecuted and ridiculed for their dire warnings of the dangerous affects of EMF radiation on living creatures.

In 1989, news broadcasts, radio programs, television specials, magazines, and newspapers covered the topic of EMF radiation and the affects on human beings. The "New Yorker," "People," "Infoworld," "Newsweek," and "Discover magazines carried articles exposing the frightening results of recent scientific studies. They addressed newfound fears about the harmful affects of EMF pollution created by powerlines, transformers, appliances, machines, and computers.

In the December 1989 issue of "People Magazine," Paul Brodeur, author of the "Zapping of America" and "Currents of Death" discussed the alleged dangers posed by EMF radiation generated by high-current powerlines, electric blankets, and computer video display terminals (VDT'S). He said, "Anyone who lives or works in an electromagnetic field is at risk.

VDT's first came under suspicion in the late 1970's and early 80's, when a dozen or so unexplained clusters of miscarriages and birth defects were found in groups of women who worked with computers. In one group of computer operators at Sears in Dallas, eight out of 12 pregnancies ended in miscarriage or neonatal death. In 1988 the Kaiser Permanente Medical Care Program did a study of 1,583 California women who worked 20 hours or more in a week with VDT's stood an 80 percent greater chance of miscarrying than women who did similar work without VDT's.

In the July/August 86 issue of "American Health," Nancy Shute talked about a study done in Colorado by Nancy Wertheimer that linked high current powerlines and transformers to cancer in children. She talked about a study by the Maryland Department of Health and Hygiene which found an unusually high percentage of electricians, electronics engineers and utility repairmen among 951 men who died of brain tumors.

In the December 89 issue of "Discover Magazine" David Noland explored updates in Wertheimer's research which indicated that the homes most affected were those closest to the transformers serving the largest numbers of people. He found that Mrs. Wertheimer believed that the more power being drawn, the greater the EMF and incidence of disease.

Automobiles, planes, buses, motorcycles, and other machines which use spark plugs produce very powerful EMF radiation every time a spark plug fires. They are now being recognized as generators and receivers of EMF pollution. The metal bodies of vehicles are powerful antennas that pick up EMF radiation from microwave and radar transmitters, CB radios, cellular phones, radar guns, overhead powerlines and transformers. It's no wonder people feel exhausted during and after long trips in automobiles, buses, and planes.

Many health experts now realize that the loss of vitality precedes the loss of health. Individuals lose vitality because of various stresses that adversely affect the functioning of biological systems that operate electrically in an electric wave universe. Man-made electromagnetic pollution interferes with basic electrical function, shuts down vitality, and finally produces disease symptoms.

Beyond the Abstract - Lifestyle and Testicular Dysfunction: A Brief Update

Wednesday, 08 October 2008

BERKELEY, CA (UroToday.com) - A variety of testicular pathologies to include testicular cancer, cryptorchidism and defective spermatogenesis have been increasing. While genetic factors play a role, growing evidence suggests that the testicle is damaged by environment and lifestyle-related factors either at prenatal or at puberty times. While the reproductive effects of tobacco, alcohol and sedentary lifestyle have not been well documented, other exposures such as excessive heat, ionizing radiation, dibromochloropropane, estrogens and anabolic steroids may induce severe damage to adult testicles. In this paper, we review lifestyle factors which may effect future male fertility and describe new findings on the effects of cell phone derived electromagnetic on male reproductive function.

Certain lifestyles engender more risk of excessive heat exposure to the testes. Exposure to hot occupational environment (bakers, welders, foundry workers), sedentary work habits, long periods of car travel, and tight clothing, can disrupt regulation of intrascrotal temperature and lead to increased testicular temperature that can affect spermatogenesis. Saleh et al demonstrated cigarette smoking leads to increases in reactive oxygen species (ROS) level and decreases in total antioxidant capacity (TAC) with disturbed ROS/TAC score. Smoking is associated with elevated levels of seminal leukocytes and the resulting oxidative stress due to ROS generation by activated leukocytes. Various components of cigarette smoke (i.e., polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons) and smoking metabolites may act as chemotactic stimuli and thereby induce an inflammatory response, recruitment of leukocyte and subsequent generation of ROS. Recently, reports showed mild asthenozoospermia may be an early indicator of reduced semen quality in light smokers while heavy smokers showed profound teratozoospermia.

The effect of environmental toxicants and endocrine active compounds on male reproductive health has been the subject of extensive study. Various animal and human studies reported lead exposure can cause severe adverse effects on male reproductive organs. Lead causes excessive oxidative stress by interfering with antioxidant enzymes and also by its effect on cell membrane polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA).

The newest environmental exposure of concern to reproductive health relates to cell phone derived radiation. As energy carried by cell phone radiation [radiofrequency electromagnetic waves (RF-EMW)] is extremely low compared to ionizing radiation, i.e., X-rays (frequency, 1010-1018 MHz), they do not cause ionization of molecule. However, exposure to RF-EMW causes a number of effects on biological systems. Recently, epidemiological studies, including one from our center, have proposed cell phone usage may adversely affect important parameters os sperm quality. Cell phone usage was associated with reduced sperm motility in men using their phone in excess of 4 hours a day vs. men without cell phone use. A cross-sectional study reported odds ratio (OR) of 1.86 for infertility among military personnel who self-reported exposure to RF-EMW relative to those who reported no work near RF-EMW field.

The mechanism of RF-EMW induced reproductive damage appears mulitfactorial. Chronic exposure affects the mitochondrial genome and nuclear β-globin locus of epididymal spermatozoa causing increased expression of adhesion protein on spermatozoa. Others have demonstrated a decrease in mean seminiferous tubule diameter after exposure of rats to cell phone radiation. Various animal studies have demonstrated induction of oxidative stress after cell phone exposure, suggesting stimulation of mammalian cell plasma membrane NADH oxidase with resulting free radical production.

In vitro studies of RF-EMW on human sperm are conflicting. One study showed decreased progressive sperm motility following exposure to cell phone radiation for 5 min on neat semen of human volunteers. Others showed no effect on purified mature spermatozoa following RF-EMW exposure for 1 h. We have recently demonstrated for the first time that RF-EMW exposure can cause oxidative stress in ejaculated human semen (RF-EMW exposure duration 1 h, specific absorbance rate (SAR) 1.46 W/ kg, temperature of 20 OC). We found significant increases in ROS levels and increased ROS/TAC scores after cell phone exposure.

The question of life style effects on semen quality has been debated extensively over the recent years. Conclusions remain elusive because lifestyle exposures are myriad, and it is difficult to adequately address all sperm parameters with a single lifestyle factor. In addition, the interaction of genetics, age and exposure duration is detrimental for the reproductive system damage. It is necessary to study the different age groups regarding the exposure to RF-EMW and its association with various other RF-EMW-related diseases. In vivo studies on healthy volunteers should be carried out to explore the RF-EMW effect on the reproductive health of men. Ultimately, future studies will help continue the evidence-based analysis of the impact of lifestyle factors on male fertility.

Radiation Detox

I just found a website dedicated to getting rid of radiation from the body.

Radiation Detox
Here's How to Help Heal the Harmful Effects Caused by Radioactive and Radiation Exposure ...
Full Documentation on the Medical, Homeopathic,
Nutritional and Naturopathic Ways to Help Yourself

Dear Radiation Sufferer,

You are not crazy to be worried about radiation ...

Radiation syndrome, radiation toxicity, radiation illness, radiation damage, radiation sickness and excessive radiation exposure are all known facts that can make you ill or KILL YOU!

For instance, you may undergo a series of X-ray exams but that excess radiation actually increases your chances for contracting unless you do something to repair the damage and detoxify yourself. In a moment, we'll tell you how.

You might undergo cancer radiation therapy and firsthand suffer the direct effects of radiation exposure with nausea, anemia, hemorrhaging and fibrosis. In that case you don't need anyone to tell you of the devastation that radiation exposure can do. All you need are remedies to help counter its destructive effects.

If you live at high altitudes or take a lot of airplane flights you are naturally exposed to higher doses of ionizing radiation, too, so what do you do to prevent succumbing to radiation sickness and illness?

Okay, now the really big problems...

Living near a nuclear power plant, coal burning plant or near old government radiation testing grounds (such as in Nevada or New Mexico) also gives you higher than normal radiation exposure and that there are still radioactive contaminants in the environment blowing around ... and guess who gets to ingest them?

If you've worked in uranium mining, uranium or plutonium processing or in weapons manufacturing, your radioactive exposure is definitely off the charts and ill effects are not far behind. Plenty of Gulf War veterans have been exposed to "depleted uranium" military sources and know for a fact that it's responsible for their health problems.

Working at a nuclear power plant, in a submarine, or with certain types of diagnostic medical equipment are all ways to become sick from radiation exposure without knowing it.

If you're ever the victim of a nuclear attack, well you know the rest there ...

Frankly, if you don't heal yourself of the effects of radiation exposure and if you don't bind radioactive particles and flush them out of your body if you've ingested them, then they'll just stay there and slowly destroy your health. Eventually you will succumb to unexplained symptoms of fatigue, lethargy, a weakened immune system, tumors, unexplained illnesses, anemia, excessive bleeding, genetic damage, cancer, leukemia, cataracts, possibly having children with severe birth defects. You can develop all sorts of conditions that just don't seem to respond to medicine ... and for which there doesn't seem to be any explanation.

If you've heard of friends suffering this way, you know what I mean.

I once saw the hair analysis of a 50-year old man who worked at mining exploration in his 20's, and thirty years later a hair analysis still showed signs of uranium contamination that were well off the charts! That's how long uranium can stay in the body if you don't detoxify yourself of prior exposure. All he did for his summer job (way back) was set the blasting caps for mining exploration in our Western deserts, but the contaminated dust he ingested has stayed inside him for years!

Radiation and radioactivity are everywhere ... in the air, water, and in the food we eat. Every time there's another nuclear test explosion or accident in the world, our total exposure to radioactive contamination increases once again. Every time there is a radioactive accident somewhere, our toxic load just keeps getting greater.

How about this likely scenario now that we've declared a war on terrorism ...

BOOM! ... a "dirty bomb" goes off somewhere in the world and people thousands of miles away are on the same day affected by the radioactive contamination!

Or, a nuclear power plant suffers an unexpected accident -- such as with Chernobyl (Russia), Three Mile Island (USA), or Tokaimura (Japan) -- and the food we eat and air we breathe instantly becomes contaminated.

Gosh, "that won't ever happen" is what government officials says and those are three cases already -- at least the ones we know about. What about the potential for terrorist incidents? What happens when we do atomic weapons testing?

Here's the short of it ...

If you've been exposed to radioactive particles, including a soldier exposed to depleted uranium, I'm going to tell you about all the published, proven, documented, scientific ways to detoxify yourself -- which you can do at home. I'm also going to tell you about all the stages of acute radiation syndrome in case -- God forbid it -- there ever is another nuclear accident.

Furthermore, I'm not just going to tell you how to detoxify the effects of radiation and radioactive particles from your system but how to rebuild your body to better health, and what natural supplements to take to help you survive through hematopoietic and gastrointestinal radiation syndromes that might prove fatal if there ever were an atomic incident.

For years all I ever read were million dollar government studies that told us that "radiation is bad for you," but not a single study was done telling us what natural ways we could use to help ourselves if we were ever exposed.

Imagine that: hundreds of millions spent every year related to radiation and radioactivity but not a single peep about this crucial topic -- what to do if you are exposed to radioactivity. Since the government hasn't done anything about it, several years ago I swore I would to help the nation. Everyone has to contribute, and this is my contribution.

Now with American soldiers returning from overseas wars where they've been exposed to depleted uranium dusts, the problem is finally rearing its head as many have feared. But there is something you can do about it.

A yet bigger problem will arise if some large scale nuclear emergency ever hits the country. You can imagine the frantic chaos that result because there is no "what to do" information avialable other than "stay at home and take potassium iodide" or go to the hospital, which will no doubt be swamped with hundreds of thousands of people.

You can see why when I was getting my Master's Degree in Clinical Nutrition I swore this would be one of the two health topics I'd write about to contribute to the nation. If the government wasn't doing anything about these national security risks, then it was up to me to step up to the plate and follow Benjamin Franklin's practice of creating a solution and filling a void, just as he did in establishing the first libraries, street lights, fire companies, public solution for lightning caused fires, and so forth in Philadelphia.

Do you know what the first thing you should eat is when there is radioactive fallout in your area? Do you know what you should do if potassium iodide is not available to block the absorption of radioactive iodine in your thyroid gland? Do you know what must you purchase well ahead of time to protect yourself from the effects of radiation? Do you know what foods or supplements will detoxify radioactive exposure and flush contaminants right out of your body?

Can you tell me what has actually worked in Chernobyl, Tokaimura, Nagasaka and Hiroshima -- what the doctors used to help people with radiaiton exposure? Do you know what decontamination and emergency detoxification steps, involving drugs, that government military sources and the CDC or Homeland Security offices suggest you follow?

Well I've collected all this information and more, and put it in a book to help you.

If you have been exposed to too many X-rays or work with diagnostic medical equipment or are environmentally sensitive and have ingested elevated levels of radioactive contaminated food, air or water, you also want to check out this detoxification information as well. You'll learn about the foods you can eat that will literally build up your immune system and help you recover from the RNA/DNA damage caused by radiation exposure. You'll find out about the substances that will actually chelate radioactive heavy metals from your body.

What more can anyone do?

In this 121-page book (the only one of its kind, and certainly the largest compendium of information on natural methods for detoxifying radiation and radioactive particles in existence that will still be available if the hospitals are jammed full), you'll find out how to protect yourself from radiation in case of a terrorist incident or some other form of nuclear or atomic exposure. You will learn various ways to detoxify yourself of radiation exposure AT HOME to get rid of its effects.

If I came back from a war zone, I'd get this this el pronto.

If you're undergoing cancer therapy you need this information, too because inside this manual you'll learn how to safely and quickly rebuild your health.

Are you undergoing cancer therapy and your blood figures are off? You'll learn which supplements will rebuild platelet, WBC and RBC counts rather quickly. There are certain oils you should take, amino acids to protect your GI tract, certain foods that prevent nausea, and certain mushrooms and immune stimulants that rival cytokines in rebuilding your immune health.

More importantly, there are three or four very specialized nutritional substances that will lock on to radioactive particles and escort them out of your body.

Inside this 121-page manual, How to Help Heal Your Body of Radiation Damage and Detoxify Away Ingested Radioactive Dusts, you'll learn:

* There is potassium iodide KI or KIO3, which you should take in some (but not all) nuclear emergencies to block radioactive uptake by the thyroid! Find out how much to take, when to take it, and what to do (what to take as an alternative) if it isn't available.

* There are 3 types of baths you can soak in at home to pull out the effects of radioactive heavy metals from the cells of your body. Don't forget to drink certain teas when you do this, because teas of a certain type can bind some radiatioactive particles and help excrete them as well! There's a delicious way to drink radiation exposure away!

* There are special algae and seaweeds you can eat which are clinically proven to bind radioactive particles and escort them out of the body. Urine, blood and radioactive tests have all proven these effects, for which patents have been granted, and they have been successfully used at Nagasaki and most recently at Chernobyl. They are known for their effectiveness, but do you know what they are, where to get them, how to use them, and what recipes makes them palatable and delicious or where to go and eat them if cooking isn't your thing? I have one word for you: Modifilin, perhaps the best seaweed chelator (containing anti-cancer properties, too) than anything else out there. Even if you don't get this ebook, look into this product.

* There are special nutritional products you can take to rebuild your blood, intestines and immunity so that you don't die from hematopoietic or gastrointestinal radiation syndrome. If you are suffering from anemia or cancer radiation therapy, this information can save your life.

* There is a special soup you can drink that is the basis of all Eastern nutritional radiation therapy. Survivors of the Nagasaki atomic bomb, who were just one mile from the blast, never succumbed to radiation poisoning because they avoided sweets and sugars and made this soup the staple of their diet.

* There are special anti-radiation homeopathic formulas you can use (both "drainage" remedies and opposing remedies) that work to remedy the harmful effects of radiation, including the ionizing radiation of X-rays. Anti-radium, uranium, plutonium, ... all have homeopathic remedy antagonists. This is your only place to find out which ones to use and when.

* There are special nutritional supplements -- sulfur containing thiol compounds -- that can help rebuild your body from radiation exposure ... and which are especially important for those who work in the nuclear reactor or processing industries because of their specific protective effects. For those who have been exposed to depleted uranium, the importance of alkalinizing agents and kidney protectorants cannot be underestimated.

* There are 9 special foods you should eat to help rebuild your blood and body extremely quickly, because they contain a high content of "nucleotides" that promote health and anti-aging. There are also special fish oils to consume in order to maintain the proper fatty acid balance content of your blood (olive oil works, too!), otherwise you are likely to die from severe radiation poisoning even if you were to get a bone marrow transfusion. Ever hear of an "oxalic acid index" test? Most doctors haven't either, which is why they're flying blind with useless bone marrow transplants without this understanding.

* There are emergency radioactive contamination procedures to follow -- developed by the Military -- for every type of expected radioactive isotope exposure, and medical protocols you should become familiar with to understand the step-by-step progression of radiation sickness and your prospects of survival. If you know this information, you'll know how to survive and what you must do to assist yourself and your loved ones so that if there ever is a nuclear disaster, no one in your family becomes another one of the radiation statistic amidst the thousands.

* There are also a variety of pharmaceutical drugs and medications doctors will most likely give you to protect you from radiation toxicity, but more importantly, there are various herbs and nutritional supplements you can ingest (which the doctors don't know about) in addition to those drugs to maximize your chances of recovery and survival. Best of all, many of them have been studied for their radioprotective effects and cited in medical studies!

* There are two plants you should grow around your house as "protectors" for radiation emergencies. One is helps heal radiation burns (even for cancer radiation therapy), and the other change colors as a natural warning signal at the first signs of excess radioactivity in the environment.

If you are a Gulf War veteran, a cancer patient undergoing radiation therapy, someone who works in the nuclear power or processing industry, or someone who lives in a high radiation environment or has just been exposed, you need to get this information on the curative, remedial measures available for radiation exposure and exposure to radioactive contaminants.

"I'm originally from Russia and I spent 2 years in high school learning how to put on military gas masks, check an old meter for radiation and other things that seem so surreal at this time. I remember I asked my teacher, 70 year old retired general, what I should do if I actual get exposed to radiation. I remember he just looked at me and said "I think a prayer would help". For years I tried to find practical sources of information on the subject in Russia, and later in America. All the experts kept repeating: "Radiation is bad. And don't forget to take your iodine tablets!" That was before I got your book. As I was reading it, I realized the whole new level of information put together I never knew existed. It's like you took tons of medical and scientific research published in those never-read scientific journals no one knows about, and transformed it into practical info you can actually apply in real life. Thank you so much for all your work." Maxim S., New York

I can guarantee that your doctors don't know half this information -- it is truly the most extensive book on medical, nutritional, naturopathic and homeopathic radiation detoxification and radioprotective procedures in existence.

If it has even one-quarter or one-eighth of the information guaranteed, in today's world wouldn't it still be worth the effort to get it ... now, before some mad rush of people shuts the server down?

Protect yourself from even more exposure and start reversing the insidious effects of silent, invisible radiation by ordering risk-free " How to Detox Away Radioactive Particles and Help Heal Physical Radiation Damage" right now by clicking the ordering button below.

And in case you're thinking no, let me tell you one simple story about John Wayne and the cast of a movie he starred in, The Conqueror, which was filmed in Snow Canyon, Utah....

In 1953, the US military tested eleven atomic bombs at Yucca Flats, Nevada, which produced radioactive fallout clouds. The town of St. George (where the cast and crew of The Conqueror spent much of their time) and Snow Canyon, where much of the movie was shot, were about 100 miles downwind from the original Nevada Test Site and received part of this fallout. For thirteen weeks the actors and crew were exposed to minor levels of radioactive dusts on location, and to make it worse, the director even shipped 60 tons of the "hot dirt" back to Hollywood so that they could do convenient retakes of the film.

The result?

By 1980, when People magazine wrote a story on the matter and did a head count, at least 91 members of the original 220 member cast and crew who worked on location had contracted cancer. Statistically you'd expect about 30 of these people to get cancer. However, 91 had contracted cancer as of the early 1980s and 46 died of it, including John Wayne (he died of stomach and lung cancer), Susan Hayward, Agnes Moorehead, and the director Dick Powell. Pedro Armendariz, upon learning that he had contracted cancer, committed suicide while dying of it.

People magazine never discovered how many of the Indian extras were afflicted, which would also have added significantly to the totals! All this from being exposed in a town 100 miles downwind of atomic tests. (I pity our vets who've been exposed to depleted uranium, and the locals who continue to live in those areas). The town of St. George itself suffered a similar fate -- the residents eventually contracted cancers in staggering numbers.

What can you do about it? You can try to detoxify away the buildup of any radioactive heavy metals that have collected in your body, and help your body rejuvenate. You can also eat certain substances that will help trap these particles as they're being ingested so that they're excreted before they can do any damage.

I'll read it in detail later. I hope it helps

Children and teenagers are five times more likely to get brain cancer if they use mobile phones, startling new research indicates.

The study, experts say, raises fears that today's young people may suffer an "epidemic" of the disease in later life. At least nine out of 10 British 16-year-olds have their own handset, as do more than 40 per cent of primary schoolchildren.

Yet investigating dangers to the young has been omitted from a massive £3.1m British investigation of the risks of cancer from using mobile phones, launched this year, even though the official Mobile Telecommunications and Health Research (MTHR) Programme – which is conducting it – admits that the issue is of the "highest priority".

Despite recommendations of an official report that the use of mobiles by children should be "minimised", the Government has done almost nothing to discourage it.

Last week the European Parliament voted by 522 to 16 to urge ministers across Europe to bring in stricter limits for exposure to radiation from mobile and cordless phones, Wi-fi and other devices, partly because children are especially vulnerable to them. They are more at risk because their brains and nervous systems are still developing and because – since their heads are smaller and their skulls are thinner – the radiation penetrates deeper into their brains.

The Swedish research was reported this month at the first international conference on mobile phones and health.

It sprung from a further analysis of data from one of the biggest studies carried out into the risk that the radiation causes cancer, headed by Professor Lennart Hardell of the University Hospital in Orebro, Sweden. Professor Hardell told the conference – held at the Royal Society by the Radiation Research Trust – that "people who started mobile phone use before the age of 20" had more than five-fold increase in glioma", a cancer of the glial cells that support the central nervous system. The extra risk to young people of contracting the disease from using the cordless phone found in many homes was almost as great, at more than four times higher.

Those who started using mobiles young, he added, were also five times more likely to get acoustic neuromas, benign but often disabling tumours of the auditory nerve, which usually cause deafness.

By contrast, people who were in their twenties before using handsets were only 50 per cent more likely to contract gliomas and just twice as likely to get acoustic neuromas.

Professor Hardell told the IoS: "This is a warning sign. It is very worrying. We should be taking precautions." He believes that children under 12 should not use mobiles except in emergencies and that teenagers should use hands-free devices or headsets and concentrate on texting. At 20 the danger diminishes because then the brain is fully developed. Indeed, he admits, the hazard to children and teenagers may be greater even than his results suggest, because the results of his study do not show the effects of their using the phones for many years. Most cancers take decades to develop, longer than mobile phones have been on the market.

The research has shown that adults who have used the handsets for more than 10 years are much more likely to get gliomas and acoustic neuromas, but he said that there was not enough data to show how such relatively long-term use would increase the risk for those who had started young.

He wants more research to be done, but the risks to children will not be studied in the MTHR study, which will follow 90,000 people in Britain. Professor David Coggon, the chairman of the programmes management committee, said they had not been included because other research was being done on young people by a study at Sweden's Kariolinska Institute.

He said: "It looks frightening to see a five-fold increase in cancer among people who started use in childhood," but he said he "would be extremely surprised" if the risk was shown to be so high once all the evidence was in.

But David Carpenter, dean of the School of Public Health at the State University of NewYork – who also attended the conference – said: "Children are spending significant time on mobile phones. We may be facing a public health crisis in an epidemic of brain cancers as a result of mobile phone use."

In 2000 and 2005, two official inquiries under Sir William Stewart, a former government chief scientist, recommended the use of mobile phones by children should be "discouraged" and "minimised".

But almost nothing has been done, and their use by the young has more than doubled since the turn of the millennium.

Computers- A necessary evil

Computers are a necessary evil for our world now... just like cell phones. Just need to know how to handle them.

Computer/VDT Screens
Q
Do computer screens emit radiation that is harmful to the eyes?
A
According to the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), "there is no convincing scientific evidence that computer video display terminals (VDTs) are harmful to the eyes." The common complaints of eye discomfort and fatigue are associated with ergonomic factors such as distance from the person to the monitor, monitor height and brightness, etc.
Q
I have a colleague who is pregnant and who types at a computer. How much radiation does her baby receive at a typical computer? Is there a lead shield that she could wear? Like an apron?
A
Regulations of the US Department of Health and Human Services require manufacturers to test computer monitor emissions for radiation and to label them attesting to the fact that they have been found to meet the standards of Title 21 of the Code of Federal Regulations. You should be able to find this label on the rear of the computer monitor or the computer processor. Health studies of pregnant women who work with VDTs have not found harmful effects on the women or on their children. Heavy lead aprons or other shields are not considered necessary for units that meet the x-ray emission standards of 21 CFR. Such shields may actually be counterproductive from an ergonomic point of view.
Q
What amount of exposure is received from the average computer monitor?
A
Radiation emissions from VDTs (for example, television sets and computer monitors) are regulated by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and manufacturers are required to test and label these products. Regulations limit radiation emissions from electronic products to levels considered safe.
Q
I have heard a lot of answers about the ill effects of computer radiation but almost all that I have read claim no certainty in their answers. Has there been any valid and indisputable answer to this?
A

The consensus of the authoritative reports I have seen is that scientific studies have been unable to verify and reproduce any of the reported health effects of ambient levels of electromagnetic fields from powerlines or electric appliances. The inability of more recent studies to reproduce the originally reported effects of electromagnetic fields indicates that those early findings may have been unique in some way, possibly due to statistical clustering, and are not generally applicable to other places and times.

This means that if there are health risks they are too small or of a kind that have not been detected by current methods. Scientists often say that they "cannot disprove a negative," meaning that it is not logically possible to prove that something does not exist. This is because the list of things to be disproved can be endless, and the type and level of sensitivity of the tests that are used can always be improved upon.
Q
I'm getting a computer for my child and would like to know which type of monitor/computer is safest in terms of the different types of radiation that exist. I was told years ago that the flat screens had a different, yet worse, type of radiation. Are there two types of radiation, and is this type worse?
A
All television receivers (including computer monitors), regardless of type, must meet a mandatory federal performance standard so any x-ray emissions, if they exist at all, must be at very low levels. I am unaware of two types of radiation, unless you categorize the visible light which you see on the television screen as one type, which is, in fact an electromagnetic radiation; You can also consider radiowaves, which are also electromagnetic radiation. Both of these types of radiation are nonionizing and generally considered safe unless one is exposed to very intense levels.
Q
How safe is it to work sitting right at the back of the monitor of a computer workstation?
A
All television receivers (including computer monitors), regardless of type, must meet a mandatory federal performance standard so any x-ray emissions, if they exist at all, must be at very low levels. The key point is that the emission standard is for "any point on the external surface" which means whether someone is in front of, to the side of, or behind the display or receiver, he/she is protected against any potential emissions of the display to the same degree.
Q
My mom worries about the effects of computer radiation. She says that I am putting my health at risk by being on my PC more than four hours a day. Is this true?
A
The radiation emission from any computer is RF (radiofrequency) waves. There is no proof that these are harmful unless the intensity is high enough to warm tissue (like a microwave oven). You are not putting yourself at risk (from radiation) by being on your computer more than four hours a day.
Q
My grandchildren often sit with their laptop computers in their laps. Is there any danger to their health and reproductive organs from low-level radiation that may be reaching them?
A
The only measurable radiation emission from a laptop computer is radio waves. We are constantly exposed to such radiation from all directions and multiple sources, including radio and TV signals, electronic appliances, etc. Current data indicate that these are not harmful to our health. There is, however, quite a bit of heat generated within the laptop while it is on. It is for this reason manufacturers recommend against extended periods of use with the computer on your lap.

5 Tips to reduce Cell Phone Risks

Here are some more good points on reducing cell phone risks:
ATLANTA, Georgia (CNN) -- "I hope you're talking to me on a speakerphone," Devra Davis barks at me when I call her on my cell phone. "You'd better not be holding that phone up to your head."
Cell phones do emit radiation. No one knows definitively whether it's enough to worry about.

Indeed, I'm not. This is a good thing, because you don't want to get into an argument with Davis on this subject. She's the director of the University of Pittsburgh's Center for Environmental Oncology, and her group recently put out recommendations that we should be using a speakerphone or ear piece. The report says children, who have thinner skulls and developing brains, should use cell phones only in case of emergency.

And heaven forbid anyone should carry a cell phone in a pocket or clipped to a belt. "You're just roasting your bone marrow," Davis said.

Oh, boy. Another thing to worry about. Or maybe Davis is an alarmist. It's so hard to tell. Although there are many large studies showing no connection between mobile phones and cancer, there are a few that do. As Davis puts it, do you really want to play Russian roulette with your head? Explainer: Radiation fields and the brain »

But if you do buy the cellphones-cause-cancer argument, you have to figure out the best way to talk on a cell phone, seeing as how most of us can't live without them. Should you use the wired headset that came with your phone? A Bluetooth earpiece? iReport.com: Does your kid have a cell phone?

I embarked on a journey this past week to answer these questions and at many points have been very sorry I did. This is the mother of all "the jury is still out" issues.

Cell phones have been wildly popular for only a matter of years, and it can take at least a decade for cancers to show up. Studies contradict each other, and scientists bicker: Some will tell you with great conviction that there's nothing to worry about. Others will tell you with equal conviction that an epidemic of brain tumors may be just around the corner.

The cell phone industry itself says "the overwhelming majority of studies that have been published in scientific journals around the globe show that wireless phones do not pose a health risk." You can Video watch the experts go at it on "Larry King Live" » this week.

So what are we all to do until they figure it out? After enough interviews with physicists, engineers and doctors to make me want to stick my head in a microwave oven, one common line of reasoning emerged. Cell phones do emit radiation. No one knows definitively whether it's enough to worry about. Mobile phones meet federal safety limits, but if you're still worried, there are some simple steps you can take to lower your exposure to radiation. Video Watch more on limiting your risk »

1. Use the speakerphone

This was, without question, the favorite alternative of the experts I talked to. Nothing is near your head. "Hold it away from a minimum of a few inches. A foot or two is ideal," said Magda Havas, an associate professor with the Institute for Health Studies at Trent University in Ontario, Canada.

Havas gives me a little math lesson. Every inch you can get away from your body, the radiation reduces very quickly. "Hold it out two inches, and the radiation drops by a factor of four. Hold it out four inches, and it drops by a factor of 16," she says.

In other words, said Louis Slesin, editor of Microwave News, "every millimeter counts."

2. Use a wired headset with a ferrite bead

No, this is not a piece of jewelry. A ferrite bead is a clip you put on the wire of a headset. The concern is that the wire itself emits radiation into your ear. The bead is designed to absorb the radiation so you don't. They're inexpensive and available at stores or online.

These clips are a favorite of Slesin's. "It's the way to go," he said.

Another fan: Lawrie Challis, physicist and former chair of the Mobile Telecommunications and Health Research Programme, a government panel in Britain. "They did tests at the University of York and found that under even the worst conditions, if you use a ferrite bead, you can't even measure the radiation coming off the wire. This common device kills the radiation."

Of course, if the phone is in your pocket or clipped to your belt, all bets are off, because the phone itself will be radiating into your body. So if you're worried about radiation, keep the phone as far away as possible, and Challis adds to do your best to make sure the wire isn't touching your body.

3. Use a Bluetooth earpiece

A Bluetooth earpiece still has radiation, but it's at least 100 times less than the radiation you get when you hold a cell phone to your head, Havas says.

Our experts were split on which was better: a Bluetooth headset or a wired one. Israeli government recommendations issued this week specifically suggest a wire; Havas likes the Bluetooth. But even she says not to wear it when you're not talking; it still sends out a signal.

"Bluetooth is only whispering radiation into your ear. The problem is, some people wear it all the time," she says. "At the very least, switch it from ear to ear so you don't have too much exposure on one side."

Michael Foley, Ph.D., executive director of the Bluetooth Special Interest Group, says Bluetooth earpieces radiate 200 times less energy than cell phones. "There is no evidence that a Bluetooth headset has any adverse effects on its users," he said.

4. Use a "hollow tube" earpiece

It's just like a regular wired earpiece, except the last six inches or so -- the part next to your ear -- is a hollow tube. There's no wire under the plastic.

"You're getting the sound through the air. You're not dependent on radiofrequency waves," said Dr. David Carpenter, director of the Institute for Health and the Environment at the University of Albany.

Hollow tube earpieces can be purchased on several Web sites.

5. Get a phone with less radiation

Phone radiation is measured in specific absorption rate, or SAR. To look up the SAR for your phone, check this list on CNET.com.

You might think the experts mentioned above all use earpieces or a speakerphone. Not so. Several said they hold it right up to their heads because they use their cells so infrequently, they're not worried about radiation.

"I use it maybe once or twice a week, no more than 10 minutes," said Challis, the former head of the British committee that studied cell phones and radiation. "I use a land line whenever I can."

It's the exposure, day after day, year after year, that matters. As Challis, who's retired, puts it, "If I were younger, I'd take this much more seriously.
